Marc Jacobs Enamored Hydrating lip gloss stick | to try or not to try

How much would you like to pay for a lipgloss? would $30 be too much?

For me it is. I am thinking for this price you can buy a good quality lipstick and the other thing is that I don’t always enjoy the shiny waxy feeling on my lips, unless they are made by hourglass cosmetics and then it feels like a cushion very comfortable on your lips. So here I am checking this product and at the moment there is a sale at sephora and you can save a few bucks if you decide to purchase anything right now.

I understand from previous experience that the light shades will not give you much color and the dark shades are so limited in this collection. So for me I think this would be nice to go on top of another lipstick which is matte or opaque.. then it would work well. You can get one and try it at Sephora.

So what do you think? Which out of the 8 colors appears like something you would wear?

Below you will see how the product is described by the brand.

Experience radiance on the run. Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick pours the brilliant shine of a gloss into a nourishing tinted balm with luxurious lip care benefits. It glides on effortlessly, indulging lips with an irresistible melt-on texture that feels ultra-plush and creamy. The custom teardrop-shaped applicator hugs the curves of your lips for the perfect finishing touch, even on the go—no mirror required. Hi Amy, I am one of those people who agrees with you on the price and limited shades of this lipgloss. I pay a fraction of this amount on my must-have gloss, plus it doesn’t dry my lips as so many other versions do. I will admit, however, that I like the image with all of the colors criss-crossing one another. They all look pretty. Still, $30 is too pricy for what you really get. I agree that buying a great lipstick is a better return for the price. Cheers, Ardith

    • hi Ardith, of course $30 is too pricey.. i saw today the new sheer lipcolors from pat mcgrath and in the ad they look amazing, but when i looked at the price of $38 i said no way and i deleted the 2 emails that I had received. ox
