I grew up on vitamins.. as a child my parents who believed in the power of vitamins, gave me all sorts of vitamins, especially fish oil and vitamin C to boost my immune system. So I was comfortable over the years, using vitamins and also was convinced that they would help my health in general. I took different vitamins over the years but stuck more with some that I believed were instrumental in my overall well being.
So when recently I was asked to select three liquid vitamins to test and review them, I couldn’t be happier because I knew that liquid vitamins were more potent than tablets or capsule.. so I selected these three below and I started testing them. First let’s examine and find out why liquid vitamins are better compared to capsules.
These are the three bottles of vitamin that I am currently using, each one has a different function.
Reason number 1:
Vitamins and supplements come in many forms, like pills, liquids, or powders. Some people need to take a liquid if they have trouble absorbing vitamins from a pill, or even if it’s hard for them to swallow capsules or tablets. And not all forms of a nutrient are the same.
Reason number 2:
Generally, supplements in liquid form are much more readily broken down and absorbed. In fact, the body absorbs approximately 98 percent of the vitamins and minerals contained in liquid form. Moreover, liquid vitamins bypass digestive processing and go directly into the bloodstream within minutes.
One of the negatives is that you may have to taste the vitamin in liquid format that goes into your mouth. However with SBRNutrition, there is a dropper and you only need to put in your mouth a small amount of the liquid vitamin of your choice. So you drink a little bit of water after swallowing the vitamin and if I can do it, you can do it too. Nothing hard in the process. I much prefer liquid format to pills and gel and capsules..
Also, as we age, our metabolism tends to slow down and therefore the digestive system doesn’t work quite as efficiently as it once did. In turn, this can affect your body’s ability to digest or absorb vitamins that were once readily bioavailable.
Which vitamins did I select and why?
I selected Ashwagandha (name is a bit hard to pronounce for me) after reading about its qualities. Of all the 3 vitamins that I selected this one is the only one with a bitter taste. But it is doable, you can swallow and quickly follow with half a glass of water. Just think of all the benefits you body is going to get.
Liquid Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha, one of the most powerful herbs in Ayurvedic healing, has been used since ancient times for a wide variety of conditions, and is most well-known for its restorative benefits. Helps to aid in the reduction of anxiety and stress with an increase in memory, cognition, muscle strength, energy, endurance, and more.
Then I selected vitamin B12 because to me the B group vitamins are very important and I take them a few times a week to reduce my stress levels and help me cope with a fast speed life. Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep the body’s nerve and blood cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia that makes people tired and weak.
Liquid Vitamin B12: A breakthrough in vitamin B-12 supplementation with Methylcobalamin, the neurologically active form of B-12. Traditional B-12 supplements give you cyanocobalamin, a form that the body must convert into methylcobalamin to harness its neuro-nourishing potential. Our Methylcobalamin completes this conversion for you, so your body gets more active B-12 faster, for the health of your entire nervous system.
Lastly I selected Liquid Turmeric which promotes healthy joints. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.
Liquid Turmeric: Turmeric continues to garner attention from the health community, thanks to its antioxidant properties and potential to help support cardiovascular health, provide natural pain relief and promote healthy joints. Despite their extraordinary potential, many herbs can have limited benefits due to poor absorption. SBR Nutrition helps alleviate this absorption issue by bringing you our high quality Turmeric Curcumin liquid drops.
- Research suggests liquid supplements have a comparatively higher absorption rate when compared to supplements in solid form
- Easy to consume
- Made in the USA
