How many lipsticks can one have?
What is this new lipstick addiction?
I feel like women buy lipsticks more than any other makeup product, when they are under heavy stress.. do you think that is true? I also heard that in times of war, despite the lack of money, women have continued to buy lipsticks.. There must be a reason for it. Maybe because it is a quick “pick me up”.. or is it?
To be honest, I do have enough lipsticks to last me a while. I am being actually very modest here. While it was sale season, with the holidays coming and intense work at the office, I ordered a few Nars Lipsticks to add to my already abundant nars lipstick collection. The colors I chose were red and orange reds.. then I ventured into the velvet lip glide also by Nars..
Finally I purchased a few Guerlain lipsticks including the Rouge G de Guerlain which comes in a beautiful packaging, or case, that is sold separately. I bought 2 of those lipsticks and therefore bought 2 cases.. one beige and one pink. One of the colors is called Warm Rosewood (no. 6) and the other is an overall shine that is gold color but leaves a very sheer layer, to be worn over other lipsticks. Here is a picture of No. 6 warm rosewood.
The texture is very creamy and almost like a lip balm, and while it goes on smoothly it also has color to it, so the color rose that I chose, is an everyday color, as it is more like brown than rose.. and I bought it thinking of it as brown, rather than rose. However when I came home and I checked it, I saw that it is called Warm Rosewood. It looks like a sheer dark rose color meaning a little brown-ey and that is my friends, perfect for an everyday wear. I already had several reds and did not want to grab another red lipstick.. Here is what temptalia wrote: “It is a light-medium pink with strong, warm undertones and a luminous sheen.”
This is a photo of the cases that I purchased, and here you can see with the lipstick inside the case. A medium pink and a beige color case, both are real leather, I am told.
This is the color No. 6 Warm Rosewood and below you see color No. 777 Pure Gold.
